Long Time Coming

I can hardly keep up with myself these days, so I apologize for slacking in the blog updating area.

This morning Steve and I were laying in bed and he told me that he was doing some calculations last night and I was not 25 years old. "what do you mean I'm not 25!?! Didn't we celebrate my 25 birthday last month?" Well yes we did celebrate my 25 last month, and last year! Oops! So I am now officially 26, I really feel ripped off, but I guess 25 for a month wasn't that bad, but 26 is so much closer to 30 :(

Now for what you really came to look at:

My Sister and her family came out for a week at the beginning of April. I was so great to be with them and see sweet baby Brycie.

We went to the beach and met up with my Mom. The beach was very nice, and the Daddies even played in the water a bit.We took them up to Oak Glen. Is was crazy cold and drizzly, what a change from the beach the day before.BBQ at my cousin Amber's house

We decided to renew our Dland passes this year and have gotten great use so far. Sammy got to go on a Dland date with Aunt Melissa. They had a blast
Isn't he growing so much? He is developing such a funny personality.Sammy decided to go back to his baby days and take a bath in the sink. Hannah, Matthew and Ana have invited us to play at some really fun parks. Our park outings are becoming a very popular activity.

A Few Changes

You might notice a few changes from now on. I have been starting to get a bit uncomfortable with all of the traffic that has been coming onto our blog from g0ogle images, especially from when the word tat0o is involved- wierd huh. So I am going to start abbreviating a little bit and I have gone through some old posts and changed some things around to make it a little bit harder to find us while someone is just perusing. I have been noticing unwanted traffic for a awhile now, I think the first wake up call was a very mean and vulgar comment that was left about a special little cars art that we stuck on sammy. This evening it was brought to my attention that when putting in the name of a friends business, our blog was brought up in the search. That is just crazy to me. I really love to blog, and do like letting those of you who are far off knowing what's going on, so hopefully this will take care of our problem.

Sammy's 3rd Birthday

As most of you know Disneyland is offering free admission on your birthday this year, so we decided to take Sammy for his birthday celebration week. We found ourselves there 3 times that week. I guess we just like to have week long birthday's.

Usually Sammy has no problem with the Disney Characters, but for some reason he was very scared of Jessie. I think his fear is maybe of the real life characters, because he is still fine with mickey.

Last weekend we were blessed to open up our new home and celebrate sweet sambo's 3rd birthday. We had lots of friends and family show up and just hang out and have a blast. Here are a few pictures from that day.

Sammy got some really cool things for his birthday, one that was a huge hit was his new bike that was so graciously given to us by some great friends,. We decided to hold off and give it to him as a present and he loved it.

Conner found uncle Steve's head light (always a favorite)

This was our Costco cake that was supposed to be a lei (for our Finding Nemo theme), it didn't really turn out looking like much of a lei, but oh well. I had found some really cool under the sea sprinkles, so that helped pull it together a little more.

DLand!

So we went to Disneyland the other day and Steve took Sammy into the bathroom to go potty. After going potty like a big boy in the urinal, Steve put him back onto the floor to pull up his pants. Unto feet meeting floor, his hands found their way onto the urinal (i guess to balance?). Steve pulled his hands away and proceeded to tell him how absolutely disgusting it was. What did he do.... oh he stuck his finger in his mouth- totally out of spite. (I would've thrown up all over at this point) but it gets better- while currently being scolded, he licked his whole hand- SO GROSS!

I cannot believe my son would do such a thing :) Thankfully he hasn't gotten sick (yet).

Here are a few pics from before the grossness:He just loves to read the map.

He usually will just run up to the characters all by himself. I think he was awestruck with Woody.

Dentist- Take 2

Let me set the stage for you. If you know me, than you will know how nervous the dentist makes me. I have HORRIBLE teeth. I spent way too much time at the dentist when I was younger. I don't have the best dental habits, I only brush once a day, but try to floss 2-3 times a day. Bad teeth run in my family, so from the start I have tried very hard to keep Sammy's teeth in tip top shape in order to spare him from my fate.

Last Wednesday we had the long awaited first dentist appointment. I had to wake Sammy up from a sound sleep (probably my fist clue as to how my afternoon would go). The whole way over to the dentist I tried to play up how fun it was and how they were going to take pictures of his teeth. Sammy has been so funny lately in identifying stores. Stater Bros. is in the same parking lot as the dentist, so we had a bit of a struggle in not going to Staters bit to the dentist. That power struggle followed us into the office. As we walked in Sammy proceeded to throw his body onto the floor- crying how scared he was. The very nice and understanding receptionist kinda giggled and wrote me up a referral for a pediatric dentist.

The ped. dentist was able to get us in first thing the next morning. I was so happy that he threw his little fit (don't ever tell him that). The ped dentist was great. The waiting room was geared for kids. They had his favorite movie playing ion the chair. It was perfect. I guess it was also pretty nice that he was enjoying himself too. His teeth look great. A small chip from one of his many spills, but nothing to worry about. We were a bit concerned about the antibiotic damage, but the dentist said they looked great.

He was so good. The assistant was so impressed with the way he kept his mouth open the whole cleaning

Bath Time Fun

I really just can't believe how big Sammy is getting these days. He is going to be 3 in 2 weeks. This morning in the bath we got to talking about our favorite place in the whole world, Disneyland. Hopefully this video will capture his excitement.

This past Friday Steve and I got a chance to go on a little date for a friends birthday. It was so nice to go and spend some much needed time together and uninterrupted time with some great friends.
